James is a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in agriculture and horticulture. He kickstarted his career as an agronomist in Yorkshire. His passion for the industry led him to join Novartis, which later became Syngenta. Over the course of 15 years, James gained extensive experience within Syngenta, contributing to various divisions such as Crop Protection, Bioline, and Syngenta Flowers. His dedication and expertise took him across the globe where he gained many insights into different countries and cultural agricultural markets.
James embarked on a new chapter by joining Mitsui through Certis Europe, where he successfully managed the UK business as Country Head for four years. During this time, he honed his skills and demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, leading to significant growth and success. For the last decade, James founded and ran Gemini Agriculture Ltd which has seen double-digit growth in the UK market as well as working as a business consultant and founding several other companies such as AgBioScout Ltd looking into the development of biological products.
James possesses a wealth of experience, boasting two decades of expertise in agriculture and horticulture. He has effectively managed global product portfolios, demonstrating his exceptional product management abilities on an international scale, both in new product launches, and post-patent defence. Additionally, James has developed strong relationships with suppliers and tollers, showcasing his adeptness in supplier relations.
Throughout his career, James has consistently delivered profitable growth and captured substantial value for the organisations he has worked with. He is known for his innovative and intimate approach to the industry, employing a unique range of protected and generic products.
